How To Volunteer

If you are experiencing a period of unemployment, have been at home with your children or simply have spare time on your hands for whatever reason, then volunteering could be for you. If you would like to keep busy by getting back into the world of work again with the view of perhaps gaining paid employment, then volunteering is an excellent way to do just that. You would be helping yourself and at the same time improving the local community and environment. 

KCF offers you a great opportunity to do this by volunteering with us.  Without volunteers we would be unable to offer our high level of service to the public. You can build up a record of reliability and confidence in a work environment and it can result in a glowing reference for a future employer. You would be working as part of our friendly team either in our furniture warehouse on our recycling round or in the office.  We pay your travel expenses and give a lunch allowance (Lunch allowance paid if you work for more than 4 hours a day).  We also offer training opportunities (both on and off site) as well as ongoing supervision and support.
